 Activity #1: Which Candidate Should You Vote For In This Year's Election?

 Directions:  Complete the steps below:

 1.  Take at least two of the surveys below to determine which candidate you should vote for in the upcoming election.  Click on the link to access the ISideWith.com website. 



 2.  Complete the survey orto help you decid which candidate you should vote for in November.  You should also try the other surveys below.  If you do not understand a question or issue, use the details
      links or do your own research to learn about these important issues facing the nation.

 3.  In a MS Word file, write a well written CEI paragraph (5-7 sentences) explaining which candidate the site suggested you vote for in November.  Be sure to use the data at the end of the
      survey as evidence to support your decision. 

     

      - State which candidate you would vote for if you could vote in the 2016 presidential election.

      - Support your choice by explaining at least 3 reasons or issues based on the surveys above.

      - Write a conclusion encouraging others to vote for your candidate
    
 4.  Email your completed word file to your teacher.


   
 Activity #2: Getting to Know Your Candidate!

 Directions:  Complete the steps below:

 1.  Research your candidate using the Parma Senior High School election resources or your own Internet research to complete a Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart.  You can open and complete the
      Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart in MS Word.   Email your completed file to your teacher for credit.

 2.  Use the information you learned about your candidate to complete ONE of the following options.  You may choose a final project from the list below.

     Campaign Poster!
     Create a colorful poster board (with paper, markers, print outs, etc) containing the information about the candidate you researched and placed on your Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart.  The
     poster should include a picture of the candidate. It should be neatly constructed and colorful. Art work, design, and layout should be planned before construction in order to produce the best possible
     product.

     Campaign Presentation!

     Create a PowerPoint presentation or slide show displaying the information you gathered about your candidate and placed on your Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart. The presentation should
     contain a picture of the candidate. Design and layout should be planned before construction in order to produce the best possible product. Email your completed power point file to
     your teacher for credit.

     Campaign Infographic!

     Use a graphics program such as paint or Photoshop to create a colorful and informative chart displaying the information you found about your
     candidate and placed on your Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart. The chart should contain a picture of your candidate and should be neatly constructed and colorful. Design and layout should be
     planned before construction in order to produce the best possible product. Turn in both a printed and electronic copy of your work.

     Campaign Ad!

     Create your own 30 second political ad about candidate you researched on your Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart.  Your ad can be either a video or a audio file.  Before recording your ad, write
     a script using the information in your Getting to Know Your Candidate Chart.  Email or airdrop your completed file to your teacher.
