Unit #4: The Napoleonic Era - Napoleon is Defeated and the Congress of Vienna
 
 Learning Target: I can EXPLAIN how leaders at the Congress of Vienna attempted to restore peace in Europe following the defeat of Napoleon.

Part 1: Napoleon's 3 Costly Mistakes!

1.  Napoleon Bonaparte once said "I love power as a musician loves his violin!"  Napoleon's lust for power allowed his to conquer more of Europe than any leader since the Roman Empire.  However, his success
     and need to accumulate even more power lead him to make three costly mistakes.  These three mistakes would eventually bring his empire and his reign as Emperor of France.  In this activity we will learn
     more about these three mistakes and witness the end of the Napoleonic Era in Europe.

2.   Take a few moments to read over pages 589-592 in your text book.  You can also explore the digital resources below.

3.  Now on slide #2 of your complete Napoleon's Defeat and the Congress of Vienna the chart by dragging the summaries at the bottom of the slide onto the chart.  You can also use your text tool.



4.  Be prepared to discuss Napoleon's 3 costly mistakes with the class.
